Sometimes I am not angry

Sometimes I am not angry, I’m hurt, and there’s a big difference.

There is a big difference between the two, anger is easier to deal with than pain in your heart.

I am always being chastised for being ‘angry’ but, it is just the ‘hurt’ that is spilling out into the world. Those causing it don’t see it, and trying to explain it falls on deaf ears.

Sometimes when we are hurt we start fighting and people take it as we are angry.

~ Sehar Kiani

Sometimes the hurt is so overwhelming, there’s no room for the anger.

You are strong but there are days you know that you’ve been broken beyond repairs and you can feel the hurt in the core of your being.

It might take years to realize how hurt you are by the words people speak but it takes even longer to realize how much their actions have hurt you.

Being hurt is not a function of the physical pain people cause you, sometimes you are just lying down, immobilized by the mental torture someone has inflicted on you.

The more you open up to loving people who don’t deserve to be loved, the more likely you are to be hurt irreparably by their actions.

Some times you just find yourself being full of hate and bitterness towards people who have done absolutely nothing wrong. You have been hurt but you refuse to acknowledge it.
